i havent used anything for recording since i got sky+ so have no idea about DVD-rw my parents recently lost the use of there vcr but have a dvd recorder and want to know can they use it like a vcr ie rerecord things after they have watched something

2 different types of disc are available.............once only record discs called DVD-R and re-recordable discs DVD-RW. Buy the latter and they can erase and record over them like a VCR.
