Welsh international & scored 10 goals in 20 games for Norwich on loan, signing for Celtic (when we need a left back).
Any of the Canaries fans or Welsh know any more? Style of play? Big target man? Wee poacher etc?

6ft tall, thought he had decent potential the one game I saw him live, but not a main target man type.

Good eye for goal, shows some nice touches but is a bit lightweight. Did well for Norwich and we would happily have had him back.

I actually got sent to watch Chedwyn, i think it was in about October '07 for Wales U-21 at Wrexham in a friendly against Malta when Man City put word out that he was available for loan. Got there, got a team sheet, saw his name wasn't down, bit annoying as he had been down at the FAW website in the afternoon, but not uncommon. Anyway stayed to watch, saw a young lad for Reading called Simon Church who did well, scored 2 in a comfortable 4-0 win, couple of phone calls on the way back etc.
Anyway, the following morning I open the Internet, Evans had played for the fuill Wales team in San Marino the night before, and Church had signed for Crewe on loan that morning and went on to score the winner on the sat against Cheltenham!!!

Best player Norwich have had apart from Dion for sometime.
Although not a target man he leads the line well on his own and is equally comfy with back to goal as he is charging down the defence.
He also surprisingly quick over 5 yards.
Has bags of heart and runs all match, you will not question his effort.
He does seem to need two chances, but is good enough to make at least one clear chance a game for himself.
I imagine he could grow into a good player but like most young players needs a run and some support, and support was sadly lacking at Norwich.

FFS I am soooooo sick of Strachan. We don't need another attacker or a promising you player we need experience and we need a left back.
Plus we need to get McManus out the team because he has been terrible the only reason he gets away with it is because he has the captaincy.

What about this boy anyone know of him heard about him?
Despite stiff competition from England to sign 16 year old John Marsden from Wigan Athletic. He has instead opted to take his goal talents to Celtic who are reknowned for their impressive record of developing young talent
In an interview with the Liverpool Echo he said.
"Celtic have a great record for developing youngsters and giving them opportunities, which does not always seems the case in England.
"I will be joining the under-19 squad at the Lennoxtown Academy, above this there is the reserve team and first team squads, which obviously I want to break into as soon as possible."
Marsden who became a goal scoring sensation in last season's English Schools' Trophy, has signed a three-year professional contract with Celtic for an undisclosed fee.
Whilst playing for Liverpool Boys ,in a season and half he smashed 51 goals, including, in successive rounds of the English Trophy, three hat tricks and a quadruple, in the team’s ultimately successful national cup run to lift the title.
He also enhanced his reputation as top-notch goal poacher at Wigan, where he was regularly on the scoresheet, netting 91 times during his four and a half seasons with the club.
The striker first came to the attention of Celtic, when a scout was despatched to watch another player at a Rochdale v Wigan Centre of Excellence game, but it was Marsden who caught the eye.
"I understand that was how I came to Celtic's attention," said the former West Derby School student.
"The late Tommy Burns then phoned his friend Tom Wyatt (Liverpool Boys manager) and he came down and watched me during the early rounds of the English Schools' Trophy last season.
"They expressed an interest and I went up there in August, September and December. They offered me a three-year contract so I decided to sign. In Scotland you can put pen to paper on a professional deal at 16, in England you must wait until 17, and this was a factor in my decision.

Obviously if they have talent they will get through but do these youngsters think it will be a lot easier to make the breakthrough at Celtic?
Maybe there is a case but apart from Mcmanus(who looked great when he 1st came though but is struggling recently) and Mcgeady- who was always going to make it as he is a genuine Talent; who else have they brought through to be regular starters???
And its the same situation at Rangers. The Old firm aren't exactly renowned for giving youth a chance either and although the standard of the SPL is nowhere near down south its still not an easy walk in the park that these youngsters may think!

Ive never heard of John Marsden, but it would be rare for a team in North West to have a talented youngster and not having Utd/Liverpool sniffing around if he's real quality.

TBH honest, i think it is easier with old Firm mate
Maloney, O'Dea, Caddis, McManus, McGeady, Kennedy(Before that career ruining takle)
There have been a few at Rangers to i think, Adam, Hutton, Burke etc
