my lappie batt dosent last thet long after charging it???
its ok while conected to the mains but when i take it off the mains batt goes down in less than 20 min.,.,is my batt fooked?
and any idea if i could get another batt///where etc??
its a toshiba sattalite 14 inch screen thingy..,,.any help thanks...

The battery is knackered, it happens after a couple of years.

If i were you i would contact the Toshiba spares for a price as you may find its better to just upgrade to a new lappy given how cheap they are atm.

Check against this also to see if yours is one of the recalled units

Sounds like it's screwed. Leaving them plugged into the mains for too long can do that.

Download this http://www.passmark.com/products/batmon.htm 30 day trial software. Will tell you the original design capacity and what it can now hold. My 7700mAh battery now maxes out at 3800 :-(

Loads of replacements on the web. Originals can be pricey - Chiniese copies on eBay aren't usually too expensive. You'll need the exact laptop model number - usually printed on a label on the underneath.
