How about 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 for top five?

7 5 3 2 1 imo
.  I think this is fairer by rewarding the better finishers

I'm not pushed either way.  Was grand with Kev's scoring, but 7 5 3 2 1 is grand too.

Since i'm a bit stupid can someone explain to me how the 7 5 xxx points structure is more rewarding to better finishers than Kev's structure, personally I prefer kevs but if someone explains how the other ones better i may agree  Wink

I don't get it either, but reckon we're outnumbered anyway.

The winner gets seven times as many points as 5th. Under the other structure the winner only got twice as many points as 5th.

Kev's structure will mean that not getting knocked out is the most important thing - that laddering up the points becomes most important. So taking any risks at all early on is not the thing to do and it will just come down to whoever gets dealt the best cards.

whats the mark up on a 1500 tourney as this needs to be taken from the ex's

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

this looks good to me - I'd not be adverse to top 3 only getting points either tbh

Cheers for sorting out Kev thumbs up

I was thinking about that after.  Wouldn't be against the idea of shipping to the winner.  Say if it's $150, everyone toss the winner $15 into his/her account to make up for that and then it's only $15 to them as well.

7 5 3 2 1 is fine with me too...

Deffo wouldn't be happy with only top 3 getting points.  Just about got my head around the 75321 idea!

WSOP tourneys have a % taken out rather than a reg fee.

i dont care what the points system is as long as we know before we start. So my vote goes to wherever is most convenient.
