We are pleased to Announce - The DTD DTD Update.

Next weekend's DTD Deepstack £300 Event will be covered by a full blonde DTD Live Update.

DTD have offered to meet the cost, so it truly will be a DTD (sponsored) DTD Update.

It's wonderful news, & I want to thank Rob Yong, Nick Whiten, & Simon Trumper for making this happen. I hope you will all show your appreciation, too.

Between now & then, blonde will give DTD the full treatment, raising awareness of their Site, & the Deepstack Event itself. Probably a free to enter Mini-Comp too, "how many runners?" or whatever. I also hope we can label the Live Update Board "Live Updates, Sponsored by DTD" until, at the very least, next weekend.

My sincere gratitude to all at DTD, who have been such splendid supporters of blonde since way before DTD opened it's doors. I would like to think we have supported them too, & the relationship is, to a degree, mutually beneficial.

Let's now hope the Update & Event are splendid, & "one of ours" goes deep. There is no finer Forum Atmo than when a blonde runs deep in an Updated Event.

I also hope you guys will support DTD Cardroom. As well as blonde Cardroom......

The arrangement, as at this moment, if for one Update only - next weekend. See subsequent Posts for info on that.

If you would like that arrangement to continue, well that's a much bigger problem, to which NO committment has been made by DTD. But if DTD think the Update has been well received, well, you never know.....

We plan to do a terrific Update, & large up DTD all week. But YOU can help too, by showing your appreciation to DTD, & interacting on the DTD DTD Live Update. It's as much in your hands as ours.

Who will be our Updaters?

Oir first choices were Flops & slops. Naturally, under the circumstances, though there was always the chance they may not receive that request well.

I rung snoops., He had no problems or "issues" with doing this, or future blonde Updates. Well done & thank you, him. But he's making his APAT Debut next weekend, at Walsall, so he's not available to us. This time.

Then I rung Flops, & he too said "yes please, I'd be delighted to, if I can make it a 2 person (2 x Updaters) Update". We agreed it would need 2 Updaters, & so Chris said "yup, I'll do it".

Chris told me (this is subject to confirmation) that his chosen Co-Updater will be Jen. That'd be terrific, if confirmed.

We agreed costs for the weekend, & although I cannot be present at the Event, as I'm APAT-ing elsewhere, I have arranged to pay the Update costs (wages, travel, hotel, food etc) in cash, on the day, so they won't have any worries there.

How did this come about so quickly?

Simon Trumper contacted me at 2.45am on Friday, once he'd seen the Thread. After toing & froing for a while, we agreed to move it forward later on Friday, at a more civilised hour, Simon suggesting he'd word Rob & Nick.

Rob rang me twice on Friday afternoon, while I was at East Mids Airport, & there followed a flurry of calls, texts & e-Mails between him & myself, & then me to Tighty, Flops, snoopy, & later, an e-Mail from Rob, etc. It was all tied up within hours.

The arrangement is to be formalised on Sunday Evening, & straight after I fly back from Scotland I'm going across to DTD to meet with Rob & Nick.

Right now, it's for next weekend ONLY.

I do know they'd like to have blonde Update all DTD Big Events (including the regular £60k Guaranteed Monthly affair), & that blonde would like to Update them. But this is a big money deal, & it was not discussed.

We shall broach the subject on Sunday evening, & they might say "no thank you". I won't blame them if they do, but there's no harm in discussing it, to see if any options are out here.

For now, let's assume it's for next weekend only, & express our thanks to DTD. That'd be a great start.

This is not the first time DTD have helped us, &/or me.

Yes, I received The Call this afternoon, and was delighted to jump on the one-time-only-but-I-hope-it-continues blonde update bandwagon.  It's been a while since I took a badly framed photo, made a horrific poker pun a la JC, or wrote in full sentences, but.

It should be as fun as a DTD update always is - please join us; thank you to the DTD-Tikay syndicate for getting this one running at such short notice.  Go deep y'all.
