Last time we had snow when it seemed all the major cities came to stand still, I set off early for work struggled through the untreated roads and got to work at 8.45.  It appeared nobody else was there so I popped into the coffee shop and had a sit down.  About 10.30 everybody else started showing up with all sorts of traffic/train/bus stories.  This time I'm setting off late!!

Once bitten twice shy...

A couple of inches of snow - not enough to stop me getting into work though.

I'm avoiding thinking about how to get back until I need to though.

Loads of snow here, it's great!  Went to work, but Heather is off school today and was really excited when she saw it all this morning Smiley

No snow in Snowdonia

No work for me which as a self employed person who is washed, dressed and ready to go to work is shit news. The cancellations started at 8.50 this morning, apparently no one can get in the car park at the Milton Keynes clinic. The notion of people parking nearby and walking the 100 or so yards is unthinkable so they are not thinking it.

Still I get to stay in the warm, make a bacon sarnie, do all those things I've been meaning to do for months and see 1 client who rang up today looking for an appointment at Northampton.

Annoyingly the weather in Northampton is ok.

I feel a Blonde tournie coming up later.......

I'm supposed to be travelling to Lincoln tomorrow from the West Mids, does anybody know what it's like up that way?

Thanks

Probably already on your way, but it's not too bad - major roads all clear - A46 is clear, which I guess you might be using. I did Newark to Nottingham this morning and the only problems were on the local roads at each end of the journey.

We had some more in Nottingham this morning, but it actually seems to be melting a bit, even though the thermometer says 0.0C right now.
