Used to love the original, anyone planning on watching the remake tonight? 9pm  . I can barely bring myself to watch, Shane Ritchie, sigh! i can only imagine how badly they've fucked it up! |

simple fact is if it hadnt been trading off the minder name it would never have been made.
original - terry mccann is a old mate of Arthur, who has done some porridge for an unspecified crime - but the inference is it is related to arthur. they hook up again when he is released a few years later. there bond is strong,
remake - "archie" flags down a cab driven by "jamie" - who the fuck calls a minder "jamie" ?? - never met him before, but 10 minutes later hands him a case with 50 grand in it. aye sure.
"new arthur" also seems to have a conscience. old arthur had the mind of a rattlesnake and would have sold his mother for a quid.

Omg awful! the original Minder is still brilliant on Itv 4 (tho they cut it to shreads), why oh why? even the theme tune somehow seems terrible and dated like it came before the original!!!
