Watched the show at 10pm on Challenge, and, quite frankly, was amazed.
First off, this poor fella holds

and reraises Sammy Faha's As

preflop raise. Flop is

!!! All the money goes in on the turn, Sammy doubles up and the young newbie is devestated.
What's worse is it was the first hand!!! Ouch. What can he do?!
Secondly, the quality of play wasn't high. I couldn't believe how poor the standard was at the tv table. One hand saw Negranu's preflop raise with

get flatcalled by

. A queen high flop came and Negranu's two bets were flatcalled all the way to the river where the newbie spiked a third queen. Ouch. The newbie then checked his trips. Passive or what? He may have been trying to trap on the river, but, I really doubt it. Quite impressive that Negranu spotted the danger and managed to check the river too.
Thridly, why do ALL the hands televised have to be involving the faces only. Would it hurt to have the odd hand involving the amatuers. It might be interesting. Some of the can actually play you know!
Forthly, I like the commentators, but they don't half suck up to the faces. Negranu always seemed to be chasing half-baked draws when he couldn't really afford to, but the commentators simply said that he'd played perfectly and just got unlucky.
Finally, I'm sure I caught a glimpse of Rob Yong. I guess that makes him a tv star now!
Did any1 else catch tonights edition?
ps. I enjoyed the show and will record it at the weekend.
