So, the old ground in Antigua doesn't seem to be as much of a bumpy track as anticipated then - thanks for winning the toss and putting us in Chris.

Brilliant catch from this morning's Twenty20 between Australia and New Zealand.

England did their now standard display of being woefully inedequate to bowl out a very poor team in the 4th innings. Can't believe they dropped Sidebottom for this.
No doubt the excuse of Flintoff being injured will be put up as the excuse.

Geez it is depressing we didn't manager to seal the deal tonight. We have failed far too often in these very circumstances too often in recent years, maybe we too much pressure on our players.

The sad thing is World Test Cricket lives and dies by a good England side, we support test cricket like no other side away from home and only the aussies match our support at hiome.

Without Freddie i fear support wanes for a great sport and i can only hope that test cricket remains an important sport going forward.

why did we set a ridiculous target for them to chase? no way we needed to set 500. even if we should have they should have just gone out and had a swish. -ev batting on from the england camp

Probably because England have regularly failed to bowl out sides on the last day in past 3 years. Obviously don't have much faith in the bowlers other than a fit Freddie.
Now the Stanford money is gone, test cricket is relying on a decent ashes series this summer.

if we suck at bowling out sides in the last day why not give ourselves more time to do it? not like they had much chance of making 450

Probably because teams have been chasing down improbable totals against us.

theres only been 6 400+ 4th innings scores in the last 10 years, surely the risk of them making the runs is outweighed by the higher chance of us bowling them out once we've mde it to 400 ftw?
