It has come to our attention that Someone has been sending PM's to people who have requested transfers on the ***Official Transfer thread***.

PM states "I have just sorted out my **** account and will do the transfer, you send first, and I will send on receipt"

Fortunately the person who received the PM decided to seek reassurance from the mods and ask if the guy was genuine etc etc ...  On checking the guys credentials, we found the poster "20Years" was posting from the same IP address as our dear friend "AdamG"

GG AdamG, Please take your criminal activity somewhere else.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE If someone PM's you to offer to transfer funds for you, and it is someone that you don't know, or who is not a trusted member of the forum. PM A MOD, and wait for a reply before entering any transfer dealings.


Fortunately we have avoided someone getting burnt for $200.   

There will always be scammers trying it on, but we can reduce their chances of succeeding if we all just make a few discrete enquiries.

We are considering this route currently, gathering the information together that would be necessary if we did go this route.

Can I ask if anyone has got grimming attempts from 20 Years/ AdamG that they keep them and let the mods know they've got them - forwarded PM's are useless as they can be editted, but if you  forward them to me to collate, and if the constabulary is interested they'll want genuine access to them to confirm what was sent. Once we've enough collated we can ask the police to take a look & see if they can bring him to account.
