I love the way the pot went from 90k to 100k in 90 seconds in Micks words.

3 months later, Micky is probably describing it as a 5 million pot!

To be fair I've never seen The Worm so gutted as he was that day.. Obv needed a result.

Brummies have such a musical accent - it really helps enliven the bad beat story.

Surely with his experience he should know to keep such things to himself.

LOL

Something tells me you have never been to a major tournament and sat at the bar for an hour or so. You would need earplugs not to hear 100 bad beat stories, Micky is not unique.

No you are certainly correct i've never even played live yet.

Really i'm surprised ( maybe i shouldn't be ).

Just thought that if you had played for as long as Mickey had you'd be immune to telling bad beat stories by now.

The only player I know who doesn't really tell bad beat stories is Golden Boy Thew.

That's probably because he hasn't suffered any yet.

your forgetting that I for instance will play more MTT every single week than mickey will play in one year. Ive got probably 400x more experience of taking beats than mickey. Online its easy. Get a beer, go on msn and moan a little jokingly with your muckers. Live is different, There is nothing else to do and is 10x more crushing to lose a huge pot to a beat as you can see the player smiling and stacking your chips. Plus your in the surrounding of amimals most of the time. Not very pleasant at all.

Yes point taken.

I suppose when i sample the live arena i will see for myself.

Guess i've got an idillic vision of well behaved polite and courteous people taking part.
