Isn't it likely that those who do find this funny are the people most likely to be bullies themselves?
LOL, if you'd ever met me you'd realise how flawed this theory is...

It isn't a theory, it's a question. Is your response an answer?

Hi swordpoker..i did find it funny to start..but when the victim fell quiet when facing his bullies, well it made me realise how low this guy must have been.pretty sad.is it true sword that a lot of victims become bullies themselves?there is a family above us,and the big brother torments his lil bro constantly.i intervene when i see it..but recently i,ve seen this wee boy,he is 9.replicate his brother,s ways..he fails most of the time, his proposed victims bite back and he has no response.this has been taking place for some time now,and the poor boy has a psychologist, his eating and schooling has been affected to his detriment..of course it goes without saying his parents are not the greatest.
Yes, it's very common for the victims to become bullies and many are both at the same time. For example, someone might get bullied at work and they go home and bully their family. We all learn our behaviours from the people around us. Your example with lil bro copying his big brother's behaviour is pretty typical imo.

Lol it's funny cos of his gullibility and effort, but agree the bullying aspect of it isn't so hot...
Just to stir up some heated debate........
Isn't it likely that those who do find this funny are the people most likely to be bullies themselves?
Not at all
it just means that some people find different things funny,if you read into it that it is bullying then fair do's that's yr opinion
but if you read into it that it is some twat who thought he was going to get a shag from someone without actually seeing her or speaking to her and then taking a picture of himself sucking a dildo then fair Do's also...

I found it funny upto the point where the kid says he nearly broke his ancle when they threw him in the pool, just the way he came across made me think he wanted these guys to like him, pretty dark.

Tbh, if this kid learns from this, which he should, then it's probably done him some good. He will learn not to be so fkin gullable. Jesus, he's travelled 10 hours to meet a girl and he hasn't even talked to her. I think alarm balls would be going off when I was check raised on the flop and turn.
Problem is, if he's got no mates then it's a bit sad really as he's forced to believe these bullies are his only friends.

When a man answers the phone, he doesn't immediately twig what is going on, but instead clings to the belief that this woman does exist and could she please get on the line.
Similarly, when he knows he has been set up, he is slow to twig that it is by scousers out to hurt him, and he reacts in as good natured a way as can be expected under the circumstances. (ie, when asked how he feels, he replies matter of factly "shit" and doesn't get either defensive or aggressive towards those who are bullying him)
So yes, he is a little naive in nature, but is that a bad thing?
Personally, I think the world needs a few more naiive people.
Cynical people don't invent things, cynical people don't set new world records.
When a lasting peace breaks out in the middle east, it's going to be engineered by a naive person, or a naive group of people, who thinks that such a thing is possible.

I was wondering where Sark had got to.

I am not sure I agree with any of this.

Fair enough, but who would you rather go for a pint with, the victim of this piece or the Scousers?

I love this attitude.
I was 17 when I first qualified for the Scottish Championships in fencing. I came last. I was naive enough and stupid enough to think that one day I could win it and so I devoted much of my life to fencing motivated by this ambition. It took me another 11 years before I achieved it and I'm really proud of it. Had I been more rational, and thought about about the prospect more carefully, I never would have upped my training and it would never have happened.

The niave / cynical thing works both ways.
Cynical people are more likely to believe that there must be a better way to do things, hence be more inventive.
As for world peace, the niave people = Neville Chamberlain and the policyof appeasement, cynical people = winston churchill trying to build up our defences at a time of German expansion.

Good arguments!
Naive people have more fun though. Not all mistakes end up with you getting photographed putting a dildo in your mouth.

Naive and cynical aren't antonyms - it is possible to know what's going on without becoming a hard-nosed cynic.

Quite right - fewer than 40% of my recent mistakes have ended up with me being snapped chewing on a Rabbit.
