I like to offer criticism where I can, and I refuse to read any of his articles. I've never seen him play poker live and he has no evidence of tearing it up online either. How on earth did he bs his way into writing articles for blonde and the hendon mob wtf. And isn't he involved with cake somehow???

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Hmmm, that was a little harsh.

He writes for the 2p2 magazine as well, tbf Blonde don't pay him to write these articles and he has provided some light entertainment to the forum.

I read 'em all for comedy value. To be fair, not the worst formal writing on the internet, but probably the worst that pertains to poker.

That's just me being snobbish though.

The only Dean articles I had a real problem with were the STT articles, because the strat he was pushing was complete bollox. Folding pairs at low blinds instead of set mining, flat calling short stacks in the later stages instead of iso-shoving.

The meat of this article is fair enough; online games are tougher, get tracking software or get left behind.

its definitely strange that it took an apparent professional online player until 2009 to realise that maybe $50 tracking software could be useful. that and he writes like a 12 year old

hi there tank.i have to completely agree with you regarding the articles for stts.in 2002 i began playing poker and won mtts and stts for fun playing simply abc poker.i made consistent money from sit and gos.now 7 years on the game has evolved so much and there are a plethora of strong and aggressive players sat at the stt tables.you have to have tracking software, poker genius, sharkscope and make  good notes in order to identify the weaker players where you can still maintain an edge.folding pairs and not isolating shortstacks simply  arent viable strategies where the chance to make strong hands  becomes invaluable. scandinavian tendencies to reraise with draws and suited connectors have made stts a minefield if youre not prepared to use all aids at your disposal.right enough from me .good luck to all at the tables but esp to me lol
