Iron this hand is shit.

Why have you raised it pre? You are only going for the low and have no high back up.

First and foremost is your high!!!

Or is this a level as suggested by Rooks?

Did your oppo ask you to post this for you on PHA? Line 1 would suggest that may be the case.

this is a turbo SNG i cant wait for perfect hands i am looking to increase my stack but i have the chip leader and donkey to my left meaning i cant get a steal through and i cant wait to blind down, as in the sngs i am playing to win, cash game i can let it slide maybe limp in if deep enough but in the turbo sngs i like to steal with a wide range

as it happened i quartered him when he called with A229 no suits but got a little verbal for calling mind you after playing out the sat (this was posted before it finished i realised the call was spot on, his reraising hands were any 4 cards under 8 and any Ace and any 2 bits of paint with any 2 danglers

btw evil any time you want to sit on my right in a turbo hi/lo your more than welcome if your not going to raise me with hands worses that this

[ ] I play lots of turbo PLO8 sngs
[ ] See you there

Seriously though given the structure which I didn't realise tbh then it's a standard steal so fine.

I don't know how the dynamics work in pot limit though as it's very different to NL in this situation. You raise then get reraised and find yourself having to commit with a weak hand.

In NL you shove the lot in and it's done. No problems thinking, it's up to the other guy to decide whether his hand is good enough to call.

In PL you must need to narrow your range when stealing because if you get re-popped you may have to call with a marginal. As we all know calling ranges should be much narrower in sngs than shoving ranges.

Do you think that it would possibly be better to limp hoping for him to raise giving you the chance to shove?

Or if the limp fails to get a raise use it as a stop and go on any board giving you a low draw?

Just a couple of thoughts. Short stack play is very different in PL to NL.
