All set. Off to bed for 9 hours sleep. I have the prospect of an all you can eat tea tomorrow night in Wigan. It does pasta, which is handy!

'Even the longest journey starts with a single step'....but don't forget to look around and enjoy the countryside, the relics of Victorian industrial history, etc.  One of the beauties of long distance stuff is that you see parts of the country  that most never get to see.

If (and it is still 'if') I can arrange to be there at the finish, I'll be the old man with grey hair and a tin of peaches for you to eat .  Believe me, peaches will never taste so good!  My PB at the end of an ultra is 1.83 seconds for a large tin, but a good man should beat that easily!  There's nothing like it for turning a shambling wreck into a (reasonably!) normal human being.

Sstttrrrreeettttccchhhhh, reload the carbs in the evening, enjoy the Full English in the mornings, ssttrrreeeetttcchhh again and we'll see you in Leeds.

iPhone updates ftw! I'd be lying if I said it was going as planned. I'm 11 minutes ahead of schedule but my left knee just started aching from no where about .2 of a mile before my lunch stop. My parents travelled across and have just paid for a refuelling at a pub in Maghull. Back en route now. Knee seems to be staying at the same level which will mean it will be fine.

Why didn't I say I'd bike it?! 28.3 down potentially 10 more today. Only worry is the knee. It's fine when walking, it isn't when I stop and start again.
