Tony Kendall to leave blonde Poker

We are disappointed to announce that Tony "tikay" Kendall is to leave blonde Poker with immediate effect. He is to take up a position as Ambassador for a new Poker offering "SagaPoker" created by the leading operator of Car Insurance, World Cruises, Travel Insurance and Holidays for the older generation.

"SagaPoker" will operator an on-line cardroom for players over the age of 60, but only between 6am and 8pm. In addition a live tour combining Poker tournaments, and other skill related leisure activities for the elderly such as dominoes and Whist will be incorporated for 2010 and will take place in Gaming Commission approved venues.

You can find out more about SagaPoker's plans at http://www.saga.co.uk/

blonde Poker understands that tikay will also leave his position at Sky Poker in the near future, though negotiations are underway for a new Poker show on the new SagaTV Channel 872 and incorporating highlights from the Online and Live events of SagaPoker in the last week.

Tony Kendall said "I am sorry to be leaving blonde Poker, but I leave it in capable hands. I however have an unmissable opportunity to shape the future of Poker for the older generation., Saga's motto is Doing things Properly and at a time when the poker world is beset by scandal, grimming and over-aggressive albeit shrewd youngsters the chance to turn Poker into a respectable pastime alongside the other leisure pursuits of my fellow pensioners is something that really excites me"

Avril Thirst, Marketing Director of the new Gaming division of Saga said "We are delighted to welcome Tony Kendall on board with us at Saga. We think he represents all that is good about Poker for Pensioners, and I look forward to sharing a stairlift with him soon"

Editors Notes:

In addition tikay will be establishing a series of SagaPoker Boot camps which will contain five themed lectures as follows:

- Dealing with the kidz of today. Should we re-introduce national service for Internet Poker Pros?

- It wasn't like that in my day. Poker and the Victorian era of my youth.

- If RED-DOG could see me now. Reminiscences of a lifetime in shopfitting and poker.

- Incontinence and yet it's your big blind. How to time those crucial comfort breaks.

- AKs and 2x bb? Pass, please!

Please read terms and conditions, Boot camp and Saga Online offers do not apply to the Under 60s. If you qualify for the WSOP on SagaPoker, please do not accept offers mid competition from Poker Stars and Full Tilt or else we'll withdraw your Saga funeral plan direct debit option.

For more information please contact Avril Thirst at Saga on 0207 010409 or Richard Prew at blonde on 01525 010409

Damn you Rich!

When I saw that Thread Title, I thought I'd been ousted in a Boardroom Coup, it was kinda like that moment when you go all-in (at poker...), & it's almost a relief, you think, ah well, that's it, no more pain!

You are so cruel.

Nicely penned, mind.
