Round them up and burn them.
Chancellor Stu has spoken.
I award one magic bean to my loyal patron Silo.

There was a guy on 5 Live who'd set up a protest camp that was environmentally friendly and invited loads of people down. They'd set up nice things to do and it all looked lovely. Obviously he was convinced that people would come and join in the fun for the protest rather than....well, for the fun.

These people make my head want to pop.
I liked the lady i heard on the radio who was completely convinced we needed a new financial system.
Er like what? Magic beans under your bed?
and Stu for Chancellor
Yeah because environmental stuff is well know to be cheaper ....
Is the protest against making the recession ease ?
Get the batons out and beat the living shit out of these morons who are costing us taxpayers a fortune for no reason other than publicity.

Why lump the forces with this bunch of reprobates?
Make anyone that wants to go to Uni pay their own way, none of this student loans pisch, if they can't afford or don't want to cough up, tuff- get a job.
That'll stop most of these morons having the free time to do this nonsense.

Geo, call me ignorant but isn't it the rich toff students who are the ones usually protesting- i.e these ones that would still be going to uni anyway as mummy and daddy would be paying???
student loans allow the more "working class" student to get an education

Working classes can either go down the mines, join the army or go on the dole..just like they used to.

It's effectively saying that education should be the sole preserve of the rich and the working classes should stay working class forever and not even consider trying to improve on what their parents achieved.
Monumental fail to suggest it imo

I was agreeing and supporting ChipPrince
That's why I added that I thought it was a fail to suggest it - to make it clear that was how I interpreted the statement - and that I thought that was a bad thing

Yeah but he's probably just a student so gets no say in the matter...in fact, I reckon we should send him the bill for the damage in London.

Was
a student, and I would never have been able to go without a student loan, likewise my girlfriend who is there now would not have been able to go.
I'll pay for the damage though.

No student loans would mean only people from rich families get University degrees.

unless universities would have a scholarship system in which top students from poor backgrounds could get in for free.
We need less thickos and average students clogging up the education system IMO....since we can't get rid of the rich ones as we need them topay for stuff, the stupid poor ones will have to go first....unless they get a job.
