Do we have any notes on the button? Does he often raise with position.

I normally lead with sets as a default line. However when the button has shown a bit of strength p/f in this instance we don't want to force him out the hand by leading into him. What would be a suitable range to put our opponent on here?
From experience I am thinking TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AJs, AQs, AKs, AQo & AKo at the moment we dominate so many of those hands unless he has spades. Then that could be prett dangerous for us, if we check/call the on the flop and the turn blanks. We can extract maximum value against any of the aces, and you never know we might have a hero who does not believe us for for a K and may be prepared to continue that show of strength with TT, JJ, QQ, AJ, AQ, AK. The only real hands within the assigned range that cause us major problems are a suited AJs AQs or KK. If he has a bigger set then thats just meh.

I typically lead this, though i have no issue with check raising if the button cbets a lot. Basically my intention is build the pot as much as possible at this stage, to get as much in as possible before showdown.

I think this is pretty much what I was trying to say. I would imagine if the button is any sort of a player he c/bets mst flops if we check to him.
