The platform bit was filmed at Reading station!

lol, so at Kings Cross there's half a trolly sticking out a wall that people hold and get their pictures taken next to.

Never that Rowling was writing about Euston and the movie was filmed at Reading.

sigh, the most pointless gullable tale ever it seems.  Someone told me it was filmed at Reading ages ago.  There was film crews down there at the time too.  lol, it's not even a decent thing to tell people.

Quoted from wikipedea

King's Cross is featured in the Harry Potter books, by J. K. Rowling, as the starting point of the Hogwarts Express. The train uses a secret platform 9¾ located by passing through the brick wall barrier between platforms 9 and 10.

Unfortunately, platforms 9 and 10 are in a separate building from the main station; also, rather than being adjacent so that a barrier could be between them, they are separated by two intervening tracks. Rowling intended the location to be in the main part of the station, but misremembered the platform numbering. During an interview in 2001, she indicated that she had confused King's Cross with Euston. In fact, platforms 9 and 10 at Euston are also separated by two intervening tracks.

When the films were made, the station scenes took place within the main station, with platforms 4 and 5 renumbered 9 and 10. In the film of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the exterior of the adjacent St. Pancras station was used, as its Gothic façade was considered more impressive than the real King's Cross station.

Well, no one actually got yesterday's destination... Barbican, London - there's one in Plymouth see.

So, onto today, busy, busy day today... after jobs in Stotfold and Gamlingay, I find myself here -

This is one of the nice, open, green spaces in the city centre. It was quite apt that I was here to repair a rowing machine!! [clue]

Then a funny thing happened on the way to my last job... while waiting at some traffic lights, this chap came in on a low level strafing run... you don't see that every day!!!

Note how the fast shutter speed appears to have frozen the propeller!!

Is the second one on the A1, left hand side, northbound?

Correct. As somebody who was born and bred on the doorstep of Oxford, I find Cambridge a much nicer place.
