1. Cambridge - Maybe
2. RAF Coltishall - Maybe

No, not Coltishall.

Sigh, I knew that ... but after getting Cambridge right (I played Cricket on that green) I thought i would give others a go.

Doh!

The other pic - now revealed as Cambridge - had a big clue, suggesting it was somewhere refined - natural granite kerbstones. Wonderful things. Very pretty green that, with a fine building nicely framed behind it.

Well, I did see a couple of noteworthy things yesterday, but unfortunately I was unable to get a pic of either.

The first was encountered between jobs one and two, while following the TomTom magical mystery tour from Ruislip to Harrow. I'm sad to say that I now rely totally on Joanna Lumley's directions and most of the time I have no idea just where I am (hmmm, bit like the way I play poker!). Anyway, it was somewhere in the Eastcote / Pinner area, a short length of very picturesque road with a hedge down the right hand side and what I assumed to be weeping willows in the field to the left, partially overhanging the road.

Although when you compare pictures they look nothing alike, the thought that sprung to mind was that it looked like scene from the southern states of the US where they have that Spanish Moss hanging from the trees.

Until recently, I had never left the A40 until at least past Hanger Lane when driving into London... I had no idea there were such pleasant places inside the M25!!

Then later in the day, on the way home on the M40, in the Stokenchurch area, I saw what could only be described as 'a flock' of Red Kites... there must have been 20 -25, all in the air in a group. Now anyone that travels that stretch of the M40 will regularly see these impressive birds of prey, as I have many times before, but I had never seen so many together at the same time. For some reason I assumed they would tend to be solitary, territorial birds?

Day off today... I wonder what Monday will bring?

I found the Weeping Willows(?)... it was High Road Eastcote.
