No real reads on villain. Sharkscope tells me he is a losing player. He has been quite lucky so far getting paid off with AA and AK but his VPIP is 55% and he has called 100% of raises in BB so far. He raises flop a lot (75%). This is a very small sample though so not that trustworthy.

Hero ?

1560 in pot.  2455 left behind. Should I have let the pot big get this big and where do I go from here ? If I bet the turn I am committed to the hand but I also don't want to be check folding if he has a straight draw or a random 2 or 4.

When you re-raised on the flop what were you going to do on the turn if board paired / A or 6 hit / club came? Your hand is very marginal now you've put in a 3rd bet and he's only gonna fold really weak holdings once u do this but you're now faced with the problem of a pot that's got too big and half the deck he can get you off your hand on the turn unless you're resigned to not passing whatever hits. Basically the problem is you played the hand without a plan.

C-betting is fine on the flop. (fwiw I think blind on blind vs a lag nutter u can also check and induce a bluff as he'll likely bluff putting you on missed overs but both options are fine).

I personally call his raise on the flop and reasses the turn but I probably go into station mode against your description of villain.

I did play the hand with a plan. I was looking to get it in as I think I am ahead and this villain may pay me off. Unfortunately my plan wasn't looking very clever on the turn.......

Thanks Alex. I feel a bit better about this as that is exactly what I did. Unfortunately I got shown A5o :-(

I did wonder afterwards whether or not I butchered the hand tho.
