I've played their Sunday deepstack at 5pm twice and I agree it's a nice cardroom. They just need more people to know about it.

I just never get round to going back for said tourney because 45 entries hardly creates a prize pool worth playing for. If they could get some juicy dealer dealt cash games going on a Monday and Tuesday when DTD is shut, then I would be down there like a shot.

Great news hopefully.

Only 15 minutes from me, and like others have said, a gorgeous place, just needs to be run properly.  I'm sure it'll attract the numbers.

Am I the only one praying that if Grosvenor take it over, they keep the current tournament schedule?

Tbh, I can see Grosvenor ruining it.

I agree, keep the deepstack. It just needs more entries.

I hope so! Have you been to the place recently? It's pretty dead. I agree about the Deepstacks, they're good. Maybe, increase the sunday buy-in though? Not much, but to £50.

However, the weekday tournaments need to be changed in my opinion. £10 rebuys on Mon and Tues, and £20 DC on Thurs and Fri aren't the best of tourneys. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Hopefully there's a good compomise!

I've been once since I moved to Weston.

I remember them having a £30 d/c on a Tuesday with lots of chips, that was always a good tourney. I'd have had the rebuys on a Thurs and Fri and the d/c on a Mon and Tues - gamblers are more likely to play the weekend tourneys if they're cheaper.

And plz have new cash dealers that don't encourage locals to shove 100bb blind "to create some action".

The card room definitely needs a shake up - terrible management - changing the start time of tourneys ten minutes before the off because certain regulars weren't there yet and doing that twice on the same night. Unbelievable. I like the value though - I found the games quite soft.

I haven't been to the Isle very regularly for a while but it's a lovely casino and they have a huuuuuge room right next door to the current poker room - if they expand into that they could easily have a 300 person poker room... GUKPT Coventry? YES PLEASE!!!!!!
