So we are now reduced to prayer. I pray that Newcastle don't win......not necessarily go down but lose at home tomorrow. Then the Tigers manage to beat what I believe to be a very good Leinster team and we can then lay off a few grand on Hull............the world needs dreamers

So ten members of the family trundle off to Twickers to watch the final of the Guinness premiership and I check the football scores at about 3.30pm as we are setting out. Bolton 1 Hull 0. Newcastle 0 Fulham 0. At this point I realise that I can't possibly enjoy the rugby if I am thinking about the football, or if I know Hull have lost or Newcastle have won. So I switch the phone off and just forget about it all.

Finals are rarely great games and this was no different. Still the Tigers won and Adam Rachel and I had a great time. Set me up for the marathon drive up to Edinburgh next weekend.  Mad I know but as Max Boyce would say "I was there".

So anyway the game finishes and I turn the phone back on and blow me over but Newcastle have lost and Hull have got a point. Now all I need is a Tigers win on Saturday and I can lay this puppy off. Then I can hope that Newcastle can stay up for the loyal supporters on this forum. In honesty I don't like Mr. Brown very much.....cmon you Tigers!!!!!!

A message I just sent to Chompy

Hi Chompy,,,,,,funny I just sat bolt upright in bed and realised I could lay Leinster, come downstairs and see you recommend the same. What tremendous fun for £30. I will check up on the payout limits though, tremendously sound advice

now we are in a deal or no deal situation......maths to follow

Okay so I could do any of the following
[] Lay off almost equally between Leinster, Newcastle, Hull and if still mathematically possible Sunderland which by my calcs will net about £6k
[] Lay off a smaller variant and leave more to ride say 3k which means if Leicester win I would get about £8k
[] Never take the mickey out of anybody on that show ever again

Good luck for next weekend. Not just with the bet. My Dad took me to the finals in Paris and Cardiff. Shame i can't return the favour next week but i'm confident Leicester can do it.

That Paris final was my favourite live match of all time. Went over on the Eurostar with my kid sister €100. Had lunch at La Gare €40 (strongly recommended by the way) on the way to Parc des Princes. Got very drunk on good French Red €60 and watched my team stuff the Parisiens in Paris, 2 tickets €200. Watching grown Frenchmen cry......priceless.

And so to Edinburgh. I have just bet £4000 at evens for Leinster to beat Leicester to ensure a return. Will come in handy now I am jobless.......... swings and roundabouts, swings and roundabouts.......

French all around me camply high fiving when they led was unbearable. Good old Leon Lloyd to the rescue though.
Love the stadium and loved the day out aswell. Enjoy yourself in Scotland!

gl with this, I'm not usually a fan of laying off bets. In this spot it makes plenty of sense though. Leicester aren't the team they were a while back and while they still have that happy knack of winning they haven't had to beat any really decent sides until now. The game looks about coinflip so why not lock up some profit at evens.

Enjoy the game, I was there when they beat Munster when Austin was brilliant and Neil Back did the rest. Best atmosphere of any rugby game I've been to.

So let me get this correct:

Leicester are playing in the final today? (I don't follow Rugby one bit and have no clue about it whatsoever!)

We all know Newcastle's final game of season is tomorrow and what all the possible outcomes are!

What a weekend for you!
