Embarrassing? not really. Managed to get the job done.

It will be embarrassing if we play the same way at the Bridge.

If it was say Blackburn playing Barca in Camp Nou and played like that, id say well played. However the way the media builds up the EPL's "Big 4", there is no way apparent 'world beaters' should need to play so negative, especially in the Semi Final.

Dave, you do talk some bollocks at times ... fuck entertaining the crowd, Chelsea were playing the best club side in the world without a recognised left back, meaning Messi would be free to run riot down the left hand side.

Chelsea ( i hate them almost as much as I hate @rse btw ... remind me to send you a link to a book in which i talk about my murky past Wink) ... but, they went to the Nou Camp with a game plan and carried it out 100%, thus giving them a favourites chance of progressing to the final.

Job well done imo.

Defo a job well done. It's over two legs, we didnt have to go and beat them at the Nou Camp. Guus obviously told them they needed to do a job and they did it.

What the media says has nothing to do with it and Chelsea/Hiddink shouldn't care what the media's opinion of Chelsea is. We're one of the best teams in the world but have hardly played glittering football all season.

It's Hiddink's head on the line and he stuck with his game plan which was to smother Barca, get behind the ball and stay in contention for the second leg. Paid off.

Barca have been incredible at home all season and have been scoring goals left right and centre against everyone with seeming ease. We were the first team they haven't scored at home against all season so hopefully we can make it a harder game at the Bridge and get a result.

If we play the same way at home I'd call it embarrassing but in this instance the boys dun' good.

If it was my team I would agree win(over 2 legs) at all costs and just make sure you qualify-italians and germans have been doing it for decades,

BUT as a spectacle for the worlds most glamorous football tournament it was just utter dross to watch...and I stick by embarrasing that a team worth Chelski's(in real terms what they paid for players is way more than what Barca have paid over last 3-5 years) should have to stick 10 men behind the wall.

All these reply's are from English folk who have an emotional connection to Chelski, or the fact thats its an english team in Europe. However, Im purely just a spectator, and when i tune in to watch a CL Semi Final between Barca and one of the richest teams in World football, id prefer to see flowing entertaining football, Hiddink's Game plan turned the game into a total Farce, and one of the worst Semi Final's i can remember.....IMO as always

EDIT: Ahh Fuck Hairy dude beat me to it!

u talk some shit dave.

as i said, its a game over 2 legs. guus clearly has a good brain.... did you see how he told the team to go about the first leg vs liverpool?Huh? and you obviously saw last night. Different styles for different opponents. That is why you are not a manager, and why you wouldnt understand. Stick to your jock football and hope you get this far in the CL for your football team to have to make different decisions based on opponents sometime.

The second leg will be more open for obvious reasons, just think about it for a minute or two before replying.

However, Im purely just a bitter scotsman, and when i tune in to watch the team i think and hope are the best in Europe I cry when for the first time this season they can't score at home. Hiddink's Game plan was brilliant and it makes me so bitter that i'll have a rant about the media rating the big four too highly and that Chelsea's team cost more money.

Dave if you think this was a bad result you know nothing about football.

I DETEST Chelsea being a Man U fan but they played very well imo. First time Barca have failed to score at home all season- says it all and if their keeper hadn't made an excellent save from Drogba could easily have been 1-0 to Chelsea.
