Where has Bolt been??her majestys service???
Boldie that one your talking about at the arches where exactly is that as I am across the road from the nightclub?
as for appliances my dad said Tesco extra like most people on here so guess thats the best(taking over the world them lot)
Tricky to explain....I can walk there but have no idea how to get other people to go there....actually;
If you go from Citycentre towards cincin...you pass cincin and take the first to your right...after a while you will be walking underneath the railbridge/railroad..whatever it's called.
Turn left there and there are these little shops. Litterally underneath the railbridge. Little arch shaped stores. You can't really miss it...it's just a bastard to explain exactly what it looks like.
Tradeston.

I just refurnished my bedroom, i found argos and b+q good. Cost about £1k for bed, mattress, desk, chest of draws, 2 x bedside cabinets and lighting.
Take a trip to b+q and look at the sets they have

I had to start from scratch last summer when I moved out, it was basically:
Fridge, Kettle, Toaster, Microwave, new TV, washer/dryer - Tesco
Sofa, Kitchen Table - Hand-me-downs
Coffee table, cabinets, general kitchen stuff - Ikea
Bed - took with me
That doesnt sound a lot but with all the little stuff it still felt like i was buying loads. Matalan/Dunelm I guess if you want cheap stuff, bedding etc etc...
Ebay too, local pick up stuff...

bean bags for the win, they can be used instead of sofas or beds, and dominoes deliver so no need for plates pots pans.

near the Southern Gen should be your first stop, then other auction houses like
http://www.greatwesternauctions.com/
off the Dumbarton Road. You can pick up really good stuff for a small fraction of new retail. I'm not a great fan of Ikea stuff, just personal taste.
Paper ads, ebay pretty good too, once someone writes 'pickup only' they reduce their target market to about 5 people, and the product sells for next to nothing. With the credit crunch you will be picking up nearly new sofas for less than 100 quid.

Auction rooms and IKEA for big things. Maybe eBay if you can arrange transport. Also Shogun runs an online furniture store, might wanna PM him.
For little things like Toasters, Cutlery et al I would check IKEA prices and ASDA/Tesco superstores. They tend to run cheap lines of things like this.
Pots and Pans I would also look at places like Wilkinsons, Poundland, Aldi, Netto etc etc.
yay... An advert..!!
I do hard furniture, not soft furniture..!! My website is in my sig... I have a lot of decent but good value furniture.. Flat Pack stuff is always the cheapest, does not say it is flat pack, says it requires some self assembly. If ya want anything, PM me what you are interested in and will give you a discount code that you can use on the website...
Cheers
Carl..
