it never ceases to amaze me what passes for comedy in some people's eyes.

It never ceases to amaze me that people on the forum are so PC and can't allow people who have different tastes laugh at something without being made to feel guilty, not really having a go at you Claire its usually Tikay who is first in to tell people what they are allowed to laugh at!

I read this earlier and expected some kind of backup in Tikays defence...interesting that there that has been none.

Nobody has really jumped in to agree/disagree with flushy either though

Just a case of 2 different opinions imo, nothing to see here. For the record, didn't like the first vid for the reasons people note - may be old skool but just can't really have a bloke hitting a woman but I also really dislike the type of women who would try to exploit this feeling in a good % of men.

Not a big fight fan generally but did enjoy the bully comeuppance vids so I suppose on balance (tank points in the bag) I can say I find some of the thread distasteful and some of it quite uplifting

There comes a point where women have to be accountable for their actions, I agree. People have mentioned already that if she's attacking you, it's wrong to strike her etc. I don't especially agree. I think it's acceptable to defend yourself but I don't really see how that comes in to the same category as knocking somebody out because she sprayed some drink on to you. Ultimately, it comes down to you as a person. I don't think I'd be taking so drastic an action, at any rate.

Thought the typical "I'm a big hard man" guy who had random man up against his front door next to his moped before then getting put in his place was pretty amusing.

I don't think anyone on the thread thinks that it was ok for the man to hit woman in the pictures posted in the OP.

Some people derived humour from how ridiculous the situation was, obv everyone thinks the man is a total twozzick though.

Here's a couple that just aren't funny in that you don't want the outcome to hurt - but still you have to laugh - at the stupidity/redic situation

Watching a little girl hurt herself isn't funny, but the parent stupidity is:

I'm not a hunting fan, the deer prob didn't see the next day, but you still laugh

This one is a little o/t but its so funny its going in:

And here's a classic example of something that hurt so bad it isn't funny - yet I spent 10 minutes laughing at it:

And now back on topic, here's one that involves a woman, and i'm sure it hurt.  But it's still funny for all the same reasons as above:

Cheesy

I wouldn't bet much on the guy having a weapon in there, but I'm not going to wait until it suits him to do what I ask, to find out. Any suspect shows their hands, or brother, THEY ARE GOING DOWN!!! I kinda think if you had to make sure they couldn't pull the weapon, this would be the best way of doing it, and having control of them immediately you got them on the ground. Rodney King would be proud.
