Mark Kerr knocked unconscious, broken eye socket, and obviously out of the final game of the season, and been charged by police. Final nail in Tango's coffin?
http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/article2442244.ece
(don't normally read the Sun, but P&J sport pages have crashed funnily enough)
Quotes (and the story) taken from AFC Chat where news first broke.
Quote
ABERDEEN ace Mark Kerr has been charged by cops after an alleged mass street brawl involving several players.
Midfielder Kerr, 26, also wound up in hospital with a suspected fractured eye socket — as a stag do for team-mate Gary McDonald, 27, descended into mayhem.
It’s thought fellow Dons stars Stuart Duff, 27, Andrew Considine, 22, and Michael Paton, 20, were at the bash.
But two members of the public were the only others charged.
Last night, a club spokesman said: “If any of our players are found to have instigated any trouble, they will be dealt with severely.”
The players were celebrating midfielder McDonald’s bash at the Priory nightclub in Aberdeen city centre when the troubled reportedly flared around 1.40am on Wednesday.
Kerr — whose face can’t be shown for legal reasons — needed treatment for the eye injury that has ruled him out of Sunday’s SPL crunch match with Hibs.
It’s a game Aberdeen need to win to qualify for Europe next season.
The Dons spokesman said: “Players were out ahead of their day off on Wednesday and there was an incident in a club which spilled on to the street.
“Mark received injuries which needed treatment in hospital and he will miss Sundays game against Hibs.
“I can confirm he has been charged in connection with the incident.”
Mike Wilson, owner of the Priory, told how punters had clashed with Kerr inside the club.
He said: It’s fair to say Mark Kerr left willingly and his colleagues left with him. There was a gentleman who was put out after Kerr. His friends came out with him. A fracas ensued.”
Kerr — who’d not long returned from suspension after two red cards — played in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Rangers with McDonald, Duff and scorer Paton.
Last night, furious supporters bombarded footie message boards.
One fan, using name Jaws, said: “Why have your stag night four nights before the end of the season? Potentially the biggest week of the season.
Another, called Tommy, said: “The drinking culture at Pittodrie is pathetic.”
London Scottish added: “Hardly the super-fit, healthy, professionals we want at this club.”
Last night, a Grampian Police spokeswoman said: “Three males are to be reported to the procurator fiscal.”
Kerr is scheduled to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

Allowed players to have a stag doo on the week of a crucial, the crucial now, final game of the season. The look on his face as he was interviewed outside Pittodrie last night told a very big story, he's a very worried man, and quite rightly too. Bye bye Tango.

Europa Cup qualification. In work our resident Sheepie was raging.
Seems weird they went out this week when they could have held off til Sunday and had a proper blow out.
Then again it maybe just sums up professional footballers in general.

They're adults ffs, they should be able to have a night out without getting into a fight. It's not Calderwood's job to babysit them.
You're clearly one of the deluded fans that thinks getting rid of Calderwood is going to suddenly have us winning the league, cups and europa league.

They're ATHLETES FFS! And yes it IS Calderwoods job to babysit them, he's the bloody MANager.
I'm not in any way deluded about Calderwood, who said anything about winning the league, how many Dons fans do you know thinks we should be wiining the league? We SHOULD be beating Queens Park, QoS, Dunfermline, Falkirk, ICT. We SHOULD be winning more than 2 out of the last 15 games, when Europe is on the line, and the quality in the SPL is as low as it has been for many a year. That's what we SHOULD be doing.

At least have a basic understanding of Euopean qualification, and league positions before attempting sarcasm, and ultimately making yourself look stupid. That was meant to be sarcasm was it?

Rumour has it that it's Tango's last game. Enjoy.
