I think Calderwood has done a decent job at the Dons but he probably has done as much as he can there. The problem for the Dons fans is that he's probably done as much there as anyone can. The days of Aberdeen challenging for the title are over,  and over for good. The best the Don's can hope for in the current set up is the odd cup and third place in the league. I don't know if any Don's fans believe they will have days like they did in the 80s again or whether the desire is to be the third team in Scotland on a regular basis and close the gap a bit on the OF is their real aim.

Changing the point a bit Aberdeen's first goal yesterday was pure com.
No they don't, and yes it is.

One of Calderwood's many failings was that at the start of a season, his goal always seemed to be getting a top six finish, as if the artificial barrier put in place by the SPL somehow made this a success.

What is wrong with starting the season looking to be third, and closing the gap on the OF from previous seasons, and looking to win a cup?

But not Calderwood, how many times did he tell us that he had taken Aberdeen as far as he could, despite getting 3rd once in 5 seasons, and reaching absolutely zero cup finals? That is as far as Aberdeen can expect - seriously? And you wonder why so many Dons fans wanted him out?

Why?
There's a law against interfering with the keeper releasing the ball, I've seen players booked for it.

He wasn't interfering, he had turned away, solely Macalamities fault for booting the ball into his backside.

By standing there & making the keeper check his run he's interfered. As I say, I've seen players warned & booked for it.

By Blatantly obstructing the Goalkeeper a foul would be given but I dont think miller is doing that-he is allowed to stand his ground and turns away as the keeper is about to hit it.

The keeper is an idiot- he can move around the player quite easily to kick the ball- if Miller was to follow in that direction it would be a free kick and a booking for Miller but he doesnt-he turns his back on the goalkeeper

That's how I understand it too. If Miller had made any movement in the direction of Kalamity it is a free kick, he in fact does the opposite.
