As a Rangers fan I was hoping that it would be one of the other candidates, I think Mowbray would do a good job and I'm sure he'd have the fans onside.

Can't Celtic aim higher than a manager that has just taken a team down from the Prem?

The question should obv be; How can a manager go to the SPL when he could manage a team in a big competitive league like the Championship?

Seriously though, of course Celtic should aim higher..it's pathetic IMO. Mowbray played nice attacking footie with West Brom but it just goes to show that he is tactically naive. He never even gave them a chance to stay up by playing unrealistic footie. A big club like Celtic should be aiming for a big manager.
