Tactically Strachan was very poor, he never done anything to change a game either at the start or during it.  His brand of football was a non entity he had a terrible attitude for someone in his position.  Basically he should never have got the job in the first place.

Whereas Mowbray hasn't changed tactics once during an entire season of getting humped with West Brom?

Taht's my view. While in the SPL his unflinching devotion to attacking football will be fine, he's going to come unstuck pretty quickly in Europe where he'll be the WBA of CL teams, unless he realises the error of his ways?

So Celtic's draw gets a Championship manager to take over.

I think you'll find he was on a Premiership Contract until the 1st of August.

Thats pretty much how I see it although he won't have to worry about the CL as we wont qualify. A season in the Europa Cup wouldn't be such a bad thing imo.

IMHO I think Mowbray has far more tactical nous than the likes of Pulis. It's just immensely difficult to play a passing game outside of the top 6-8 clubs and stay up.

I think it is difficult with the team he had. They got promoted with decent footballers playing football. To then go and tell the likes of Brunt and Morrison they are now playing lumping football wouldn't have worked any better.

Then if you have 'tactical nous', you realise you are not top 6/8, and change the gameplan, and that may mean getting rid of the players who took you up from the the league below. Stoke were favs to go down, but survived comfortably, to say Pulis had less nousthan Mowbray flies in the face of all evidence.

And if you've not got money to replace them?
