Valencia replaces him. Replacing Tevez and buying the midfielder you were short already is what Fergie needs to do.
Getting a fit Owen Hargreaves for the season would be nice...
Agreed - huge miss for you IMO.
So much for not selling them a virus, especially when the press in Spain are now leaking a pre contract with Ronaldo from last summer saying he'd get 20 mil personally if Real didn't sign him by June 30th. There's honesty from both clubs and the player!
Good deal for Real IMHO. He is the most marketable player in the world right now.
I would think Ronaldo's effect on the Utd team will be nigh on impossible to replace (in terms of points won when he plays) unless they buy 2/3 very good players.

their problem is, they can only put one player on the field though ...
gonna be a tough job to keep the team going forward, sorry to lose him from the Prem from a football fans point of view.

Agree with the first bit.

Can real Madrid make £136m extra from having kaka and ronaldo? Commercially impossible to justify I would think. Any additional shirt sales would be lucky to cover the first year of the difference in wages from a normal galatico wage to what these lads will be on.

To be fair to Fergie he said he wouldn't sell to them under the old regime. I think Perez has gone by things a little bit better.

All the reports are that the deal was done with the old regime.

Good question. I would estimate enormous growth directly and indirectly through the purchase of Figo, Zidane and especially Beckham.
As a brand I would guess yes - if not now then over the coming years. They have just re-established themselves as thee largest club in the world.

Once you've had a solid bid in at £80m it must be almost impossible to say no.
It's not like footballers are like diamonds or other inert valuables. They get older, their contracts run down, they get injured!
Imagine the face of the Utd Finance Director if they knocked back the bid and 2 days into pre-season he did his cruciate in. When will he be fit again? Round about the time his contract expires. Doh!

its down hill for utd, unless they buy big...
ronaldo gone
tevez going
giggs twilight of his career
scoles same as giggs
park g crud player
nani average
anderson average
carrick aint no scoles
fletcher aint no keane
rooney very ugly
berbatov lazy *bleep*
ferdinand quality
vidic not bad
evra quality
o'shea average
neville past his sell by date
brown below average
looking back to when they had a full strength side out 3/5/10 years ago, theres only 5/6 of these would get in it.they need to buy,buy and buy some more. retire at the top fergie.if he does not buy, 3rd place next year looms......then its bye bye
invest, break the bank, or its the end of an era.an era which has brought me great pleasure, even as a rovers supporter. you may dissagree with some of my ratings, its not to long ago they had...giggs,scoles,becks,keane,cole,sheringham,pallister,irwin,stamp,bruce,neville,neville and so on--10 of the currant squad would not get in there team, because they are to old or are crap.its the end
HE MUST BUY BIG,or bye bye
new to this forum guys so you gotts know its, just my opinion

They have been given £250Million to rebuild this preseason, Ron and Kaka aquired still gives them ££114M to spend
.....Ribery from Bayern (£40M-£50M) and Alonso from L'Pool (£20M-£30M) leaves £30ish Million for a few shit-hot Fringe Players!
