My tarty bit keeps complaining her office is like a sweat shop (in fairness it is, she works in a small office above a printers with no windows and no air conditioning) and she insists the heat she is currently enduring must be against the law.

Anyone know if there is a minimum/maximum temperature workers should be expected to endure before it gets a health hazard?

I work from home, she hates it lol

32 degrees Dave... Plus a humidity factor of 'fooking sweltering'

I remeber getting sent home from school lots in the winter when the bolier broke, tell her if it drops below 16 degrees she can go home early...

IIRC there is a minimum temperature but there is no maximum temperature.

And the heat she has will be nowhere near as hot some other workplaces - industrial kitchens for example - so you should tell her to stop whinging and count herself lucky. I don't see how that plan can possibly fail  thumbs up

correct under h/s rules there is no maximum working temp, what we used to do is get the phines directed to our mobiles and forward all emails then work from home all you need to do is take the cpu home if you need your work computer.

not much protection from the law. a lot of companies have agreements which a few assume is law . temp reaches certain temp, break for 10 min every few hours or cold drinks, i still think a company has to ensure work place is safe so if people have complained heat is unbearable and a few start to collapse through dehydration .company  may be held liabel, just an opinion no idea what  Health ansd safety ex would say

Tell her she can't blame the Sun for what happened 8 minutes and 20 seconds ago and that she should quit living in the past.
