I thought 1st rd was close, 2nd was clearly Belcher, thought Belcher had the 3rd too although Akiyama made is close with the ground control.

Wow, Bisping got KTFO!  Nasty

Ye I thought the 2 takedowns in the last round kinda sealed it for Akiyama.

Bisping never looked comfortable in the ring there against Hendo.

Great KO tho, Hendo is a beast

After Round 3 I shouldve offered you 20-1 Dave.  Total Domination by GSP, Alves looked kinda dangerous on his feet but any attacks were quickly followed by a takedown by GSP who won all 5 rounds imo

Brock is a maniac lol, pretty un-classy to get into Mir's face while he's still half unconcious.

Fitch fight on now

I think the judges were on crack as well (well at least one of 'em was) in giving 30-27 scores to Akiyama and Fitch.

I thought Belcher won the 1st and 3rd rounds, and Akiyama won the 2nd round. I thought Thiago won the 1st round, Fitch just about won the 2nd and 3rd rounds. All moot.

St. Pierre did well to survive the last two and a half rounds with a torn abductor ligament which hampered his movement. He just smothered Alves most of the time and Thiago generally had no answer.

Mir didn't have the right gameplan and Lesnar was able to just pin Frank at will. Herb Dean should have stood them up but was happy to let Brock just smother and punch Frank. LOL at Goldberg/Rogan bigging up Mir's chances during the fight ("Brock's gotta watch out for the armbar!").

Who next for St. Pierre? Don't move up in weight and fight Anderson Silva!
Who next for Lesnar? UFC won't consider Fedor/Josh Barnett so it'll be one of Couture/Nogueira/Valasquez/Carwin.

By default, the UFC doesn't have any credible challengers for GSP. I think they're reluctant about Lesnar and crowning him 'King of UFC' as the after-fight shenanigans from Lesnar proved more than a little prickly. Good for PPVs isn't though?

This business about sponsors having to pay the UFC for being a shirt/short sponsor could be quite significant in the long-term.

If the UFC fighters were smart they'd hire the best lawyers they can and break away and put on their own promotions (they'd have to deal with TV companies and sponsors though which could be a problem). The problem with 'Affliction' (apart from the ugly shirts) is that they've got themselves into a huge tizzy because they've put up a lot of money in fight fees. Fedor vs. Josh Barnett should be an absolute cracker but it's cost them over $2 million in fees alone to fight under their banner as it were. A general pittance for big-time boxing but a fairly big deal in MMA circles.

We didn't get to watch any of the preliminary fights but one must assume that Stephan Bonnar is 'done'. Maybe I'm being unkind about Mark Coleman but Bonnar should be beating the likes of him. I'm very annoyed I bet on Bonnar to win.

Bisping was found wanting. He was quick but Dan was even quicker, and Michael generlly had nothing that hurt Hendo! Henderson getting the 'KO Of The Night' almost by default (I wish I bet on the 10/1 that Paddy Power was dangling on that to happen!).

Disagree that the number one UFC fight was Forest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar but hey, it's a fan vote.

His tirade afterward -- which included a low blow to the UFC’s primary sponsor, Bud Light, waving his middle fingers at the audience, taunting Mir and exposing plans for a post-fight sex romp with his wife -- drew the ire of UFC President Dana White.

The 32-year-old Lesnar claimed he was headed out to drink a Coors Light because Bud Light would not pay him any money. One of the UFC’s highest-paid fighters, he made $450,000 in disclosed pay for his TKO victory against hall of famer Randy Couture at UFC 91 in November.

“I was blown away,” White said. “I don’t think in the history of the UFC we’ve had anybody do that. It’s not who we are, and, to be honest, it’s not who he is. You hang with these guys personally, and you get to know them. If he was a dick, I’d tell you right now this guy is a psycho and I don’t know what I’m going to do with him. He’s not. He’s a smart guy. The sponsorship thing was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”

Lesnar’s antics drudged up memories of his days as a World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, when showboating and pushing the envelope of taste were encouraged and profitable. White claimed he confronted the apologetic champion in his dressing room after he left the Octagon.

“Brock went so far over the top, I can’t even put it into words,” White said. “WWE -- that’s what it is. We had a talk. We talked like men, and he said he was sorry. He said, ‘I’m embarrassed by what I said.’ I take his word for it this time.”

Stereo, you could possibly be the only person in the world that doesnt think that was at least 50-45 for GSP.  He dominated every round.
