Bisping never even looked close to winning there. Think it shows how overrated he is, especially by himself. He's not been great in previous fights and got found out tonight. Dirty second hit by hendo though when Bisping clearly out cold. Worse than Lesnar antics in my view.
Mir was classy in defeat, just couldn't get over the weight difference. Fuck knows how one judge thought Akiyama took all 3 rounds

I'm not saying it wasn't 50-45 to GSP as I didn't type anything of the sort! I should have expanded on the 'did well to survive' point and said Alves didn't
and
couldn't take advantage of an injured GSP as GSP smothered Alves, taking Thiago to the ground and not allowing Alves to hit back, and that Alves generally did very little in five rounds.
I thought it was hilarious at the end of the third round when Greg Jackson stated he couldn't care that Georges had pulled his groin and ordered him to hit Thiago with it!
Now, GSP will take some time off to recover from his injury and 'gain some weight'.
Dana White says that there's no immediate opponent for GSP, and that they'll try and get Fedor to the UFC, get him a preliminary fight (not stated but one thinks that
WILL
happen if it does happen) and then get Fedor to be Brock's next opponent. Good luck with all the self-imposed restrictions and all that as I'm sure UFC will have to 'break the bank' to get Fedor.
Where's the source? Halfway through the Dana White post-fight press conference video.
http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=VideoPlayer.home&gid=21199
Brock Lesnar apologizes for his behaviour, to Bud Light and other folks in the video or two below that one.

Lesnar vs. Emelianenko would be absolutely fascinating but I think it'd be a huge anticlimax because it will probably be very quick one way or another.
Fedor likes to finish his fights quick. The last three fights against Hong-Man Choi, Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski shows this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedor_Emelianenko
Andrei showed there is a route to beating Fedor with solid straight punches but then Arlovski infamously tried a flying knee (whaddya know so did Frank Mir against Brock Lesnar!) and got knocked the hell down to the ground.
Mir showed one or two very brief moments at the start of the second round where Brock can be vulnerable (
HONEST!
) where he managed to punch Brock in the face a couple of times and get Lesnar to the fence but then Lesnar just shoved Mir to the ground.
Lesnar's chin still has to be tested but I don't think he can take punches to the head.
If Fedor gets past Josh Barnett (should be an
AWESOME
fight) then I think the collective murmurings particularly over the internet will
WANT
Lesnar vs. Emelianenko.
Fedor's smart. He'll hold out for more money. Fedor doesn't need the UFC. The UFC wants Fedor to legitimise Lesnar. This could take a while.
I wouldn't want to be a bookie trying to price up Lesnar vs. Emelianenko. It might even be a 4/5 vs. 10/11 (or even worse) pick'em.

Fedor isn't just holding out for money though, he can already get that from Affliction or in Japan. Fedor doesn't like the UFC contracts which pretty much say they own all image rights etc. for the next ten years when you sign them, and if you hold the title when your contract expires you have to sign a new contract etc. etc.
There are a few more heavyweights that could still potentially beat Brock out there, Brett Rodgers is a 10-0 heavyweight with 9 (T)KO who just beat Arlovski, Gilbert Yvel is an insanely dangerous striker with 36 wins 31 via (T)KO.
Alistair Overeem is a big heavyweight 6'5" very built as of late who KO'd Badr Hari in K1.
Sure Brock is the HW champ and I'm impressed with him as a fighter but he's still only beat an old Randy Couture, Frank Mir who after losing to Brandon Vera has only beat Antoni Hardonk and Brock in his 2nd ever MMA fight and an old and aged Nog.
Basically the UFC HW division doesn't have a deep talent pool.
Oh and Shane Carwin could be a threat, a big strong wrestler with very heavy hands.

Just watched the Lesnar post fight interview too n he seemed pretty sincere in his apology.
Check it here:

Wouldn't disagree with the sincerity at all. The consensus seems to be forming that the jackass image is definitely 'all for show' but still, there really wasn't a need to say all the things he did pre-fight and post-fight.
Yeah, the image rights will be a stickler as well the supposed six-fight deal that they're trying to get Fedor to commit to.
http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/110076
The comment from Joe Rogan on UFC 100 show about Jon Fitch was half-telling and hilarious (
"No 'Ultimate Fitch'!?"
).
Mirko Filipović apparently signed for three fights in the UFC and only stayed for one which irked Dana White no end. Cro Cop's happier beating up folks in Japan.
Brett Rogers' reputation increased somewhat with a solid KO over Andrei Arlovski but Brett seems strangely off-the-radar. If the UFC get him who will they pit him against first?
There's some minor feud between Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar where Brock says he hits harder than Shane (Brock claims they had a get-together where they got the power of their punches measured before Shane's fight against Gabriel Gonzaga whilst Shane claims that there was nothing of the sort). There's also the minor thing with the match-up at
UFC 104
with Cain Valasquez who was far from impressive with his win over Chieck Kongo.
Alistair Overeem's a huge enigma what with his injury problems and his ahem, nighttime shenanigans but there's no doubting the hype around his reputation. He's good but how good!?
Gilbert Yvel's an interesting proposition but Overeem's ahead of him.
I don't really wanna see Lesnar vs. Couture II. I'm not that enamoured by Lesnar. vs. Noguiera either. Thank the Lord I'm not a Fertitta! Who do you want Lesnar to fight next!? LOL!!
OT:
OOOH!!
Fight Of The Night' was Alan Belcher vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama? They both get $100,000 as does Dan Henderson for 'KO Of The Night' and Tom Lawlor for 'Submission Of The Night'. Nice work if you can get it.

People have been saying that about Nog for years, he was still the interim champ.
Brock V Cro Cop imo

Being the interim champ isn't much when it's a weak division which at the time had less than half the ranked top 10 heavyweights.
I'm not saying Brock isn't good, he just hasn't faced the best heavyweights out there yet.

Win or lose in his UFC 100 main event bout against interim title-holder Frank Mir, UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is guaranteed to be one of the top earners at the pay-per-view event, receiving $400,000 to show for the headlining heavyweight unification rematch.
The main event salaries were disclosed on Saturday by Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole via Twitter.
Mir would make $90,000 ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win) should he defeat Lesnar for the second-straight time.
UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre could tie Lesnar atop the event’s official payroll with a win over challenger Thiago Alves, as he’s slated to make $200,000 to show and an additional $200,000 to win the co-headliner.
The official salaries for Lesnar-Mir, GSP-Alves, and Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping are:
Brock Lesnar ($400,000 to show) vs. Frank Mir ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win)
Georges St-Pierre ($200,000 to show, $200,000 to win) vs. Thiago Alves ($60,000 to show, $60,000 to win)
In related news, UFC President Dana White has announced that the “Fight Night” bonuses for UFC 100 will be a record $100,000 apiece.
