I would like inform you of a recent development relating to a situation involving Vincent Price and myself Neil Ryder. On the Friday 26th June preceding the £500 Summer Series main event me and Vinny agreed to put in half the buy in (£275) for a 50/50 share of the prize money and he would play the event. On the day of the tournament we both put in £275 at the cash desk at Walsall and again agreed to 50/50. Unfortunately as in many cases involving big tournament wins Vinny has not upheld his share of the agreement. He now only wants to give me £4000 of the £16000 he won and saying that is fair, which of course it isn't as it completely contradicts the agreement we had. He gave me £2500 on the day and further payments totalling £650 and said he would transfer the rest to my account when the cheque cleared, of course this hasn't happened!!!!!!!!! I've been arguing with him all day about this with him saying I should be happy with what I have got. I have even tried to be reasonable and said i'll take £6000 which isn't even 40% as I believe he deserved a premium for playing the tournament and winning it but he is keeping what is 'rightfully his'. I think it's right to let everybody in the poker community know about this type of betrayal. It's unfortunate that such a brilliant performance from him will be tarnished in this way but I guess seeing the £££££ makes people forget about what really got them there. If you would like to discuss this further then please do not hesitate to contact me. Yours sincerely, Neil Ryder ryderneil@hotmail.com

Why are you now prepared to take less than 40% when the deal was 50/50?
Kick his arse for the rest imo.

I can't imagine why you would try and be reasonable by offering to accept less than 40% if your staking agreement was for 50%. Why would you do that? You put half the money down...your buddy tries to grim you....you're ok with getting grimmed...as long as it's only for about 10% or less. No way he should get an extra 10% just because he won some races in the tournament. You should be more outraged...not offering grim limitation deals.

Don't hold out for £6k, you should get the whole £8k.
If it went the other way, and he didn't win or cash in the tourney, he wasn't going to offer you anything back, was he?
Also, check your PM.

If someone did that to me they'd be spending their £12k on a coffin.
Your agreement was for 50-50 so don't take any less.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
