Hi Guy's

Am interested in some opinions on this hand I get dealt QQ not long after joining the table. I get in this hand with jonpon and he has been playing tight but I only have 17 hands on him. He was playing 12/6 and had not made any 3-Bets. When he raises from the button I have to reraise but when he raises me back what is the best play. Not 100% sure my shove is correct.

I think in this spot, with no concrete reads, I think I am opting to flat the 4-bet with a view to check raising all in on a favourable flop (ie. no ace or king, assume he is gonna c-bet all his ace-x hands etc) - I think it just keeps in a few more of the hands you want in there.

and you check fold on any A and/or K flop?

where he c-bets JJ for example.

Opposite occurs though when the flop comes raggy and we are able to get it in against 1010 99 JJ type hands

Meh, i fold to his small 4ball pre. Hes 12/6, exploit a tight player by folding.

Rod only has 17 hands on him at this point.

I'm not sure JJ c-bets all the time on an a/or k flop, I think it checks back quite a bit of the time trying to get a cheap showdown. 99-tt might c-bet and then we might be getting outplayed if we fold, but as greekyboy says, we get to stack the same hands much more on low flops.

If anybody wanted to know the result he called and showed AA. I was wondering if anything other than this and KK are actually going to call this. AK might but I am not that far aheda in that case and a decent player would fold jacks to this bet I would ahve thought. Is is better to just fold pre (seems very tight) or call and get it in on a flop without and A or K???

I had a similar experience at 50c $1 recently and the guy had aces. With not many hands on the guy the range widens and I made it a call. Don't play enough to know a typical range a player might do this with. I figured down to Jacks and AJ suited.
