2/1 Everywhere except the Venetian, who stuck their necks out and went 11/5.

Had to lay a bit of 7-2 Westwood, which is/was a ridic price the way the course is playing.
Never had a 20k+ freeroll before.

having watched today's play don't see any reason why 59 year old Watson can't win his 6th Open. Hardly ever in trouble, found most fairways and putted unbelievably.

Blimey, Paul Lawrie has just gone -4 for today's round after holing his second shot at the par 5 seventh for that rarest of rare birds, an albatross.
It just makes me wonder if someone might come in with a 65 or 66 and win from a mile back.

Today's scoring seems to be a little better than the last couple of days.
Any value in buying the total players under par at 4.5? Or selling the winning score at 277.25?
What do you reckon Ralph?

The trouble is that the forecast is for the wind to get fairly strong later on this afternoon, 20/25mph.
I wouldn't really want to influence you either way Keith.
PS -3 looks pretty much like the winning number to me too.

Lots of top players under par already, would be surprised if many of them finished over par, but not many of the over par guys are capable of getting into the red numbers.
Bah, just noticed boith quotes have moved against me.. think I'll leave it now.

How about this for a moral dilemma:
As has been well documented, Ross Fisher's wife is maximally pregnant and Ross has said that if he gets the phone call to say that his wife has gone into labour he will finish the hole that he is playing and leave the course so that he can be with her when their first child is born irrespective of his position in the tournament, and to this end he has a mobile phone with him on the course at all times.
This mobile phone is entrusted to his caddy who, should Fisher win the Open, could expect a payday of £100K+. And remember that he is only one shot off the lead with probably the greatest chance that he or his caddy will ever have to win one of golf's biggest prizes.
Is the phone secretly switched off at some stage or is it kept on ?

phone on and upto Fisher what he does if he gets the phone call - if caddie turns off phone, Fisher wins open but then finds out his wife had given birth 2 hours previous chances are he wont get paid anyway!!
