I couldn't make that vid work either, but here's one that does work, from Day 5 when he was CL for a while:

Seems like a good lad. Must be weird tho, 4 months of building up to the FT, and it could all be over in a few hands. Hope he goes the distance tho, obviously.

I assume no Brits have ever won the Main Event, but what's the highest finish, anyone know?

Julian Gardner came 2nd and most believe he should have won it, cant remember the year, if only there was some sort of database that recorded poker results on the live circuit.

we kinda claim matloubi and eastgate 'cos they both lived in london when they won

mansour matloubi is a brit, i met him in singapore, turns out he went to school in wales with a mate of mine, we all went out in singapore, genius of a player, keeps himself to himself now living in thailand having got the absolute lot settin up and floggin UB.

you are indeed right. I assumed he's played as an iranian despite living in the uk, turns out he was listed as welsh
