Reading that I thought 'the only decent things it ever had was Bamboozle and Digitiser' and both those were mentioned in the first 4 comments.

I didn't realise anyone actually used teletext these days anyway - it died when it went digital and became ten times slower.

I remember watching football matches on teletext.  Kids today don't know how good they've got it...

I remember the excitement when we got a new telly which had the ability to show two pages of ceefax side by side - it meant I could have the whole of the league table on the screen at the same time.

Aaaah I remember going round my mates on Saturday afternoon to watch the scores on teletext. It was so much more tense waiting for the pages to move round and then your tv would go on the blink, so there was a load of random characters where the Norwich score was meant to be.

Was a much bigger fan of the bbc equivalent and my favourite page 312, which was football news in brief.

"Total Network Solutions are giving a trial to 16 year old Dafydd Jones from Llandovery."

"Albion Rovers have a new third kit"

Fair play to Jizzemm, he must have had a hard life so far if he's only 16...

In the late 80s they used to do a live quiz thing on teletext every week - was that digitizer? (can't remember what it was called).  You'd tune in live at whatever time it was and questions would appear on the screen, then you'd phone in your answer, and your name and town would appear on the screen.  I won my choice of £50 cash or the top ten videos in that week's chart once thumbs up
