this story get`s better by the day ,a knock at the door yesterday morning ,when i answered it was a big suited and booted bloke holding a piece of paper out ,you got it a summons ,for what i ask .
the fat scruffy fecker is taking me to court for damages she has caused while moving wtf ,i never went neer her stuff ,i wouldnt touch her stuff with a barge pole ,she is saying that the stuff she had was all piled to high in the removals van and i damaged it .
i am now in court on the 3rd september .

I,m renting for the first time.just getting settled in soon.landlord seems a genuine guy,even agreed to replace some carpets.he mentioned his insurance will cover nething.im unsure of this.should i arrange my own.lease starts 2morro.or any advice as a fresh tennent would b appreciated.btw why didn,t u visit the property more often for your own piece of mind?

I don't think a landlord has any right to inspect a property after it has been let.

I don't think a landlord has any right to inspect a property after it has been let.
It's not uncommon for landlords to do this in Scotland. If you rent a furnished apartment (and furnished means 3 pieces of furniture supplied by the landlord) they often insist on being able to do this.

I think they can as much as they like - but they have to give notice, they can't just show up.
