I dont think it'll do to much and im happy with that. I like poker the way it is just now. No need for more fans. The WSOP is big enough and you can get a game in just about any city in the world any night of the week.

What about the people out looking in?

Do you think people will now view this game differently if ivey were to become a huge star, ie an Idol for the game, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Alan Shearer... Wink

if i was a tv producer i would have signed james up to follow him to the FT for a fly on the wall documentary

Can't imagine it being that interesting

Couple of interviews, probs not enough for a full documentary

lol for real?

they can make mainstream documentaries about a woman training her dog, dinner parties, people going on coach trips and life on the dole but you're telling me they wouldn't be able to make interesting enough the build up to a poker pro playing 1 game of poker for $8 million and have that cross over to mainstream t.v?

It would actually be one of the few interesting documentries on at the moment, dont worry about there not being enough interest, if the public will watch a documentary on terestial t.v about the exciting world of fizzy drink can recycling they could make an absolute blinder out of this.

not only is the amount of money involved gonna help with publicity, or the fact that the story would be quite interesting in itself, but people have become used to watching any old disposable shit that the subject matter is almost irrelevant, if C 4 bang on about a documentary enough i'll put it on reminder eventually regardless of how uninterested i am in it Grin

louis theroux hosting the documentary would kick ass
