45man final table on FT

I have to lead the flop right, that's my main error? What's my plan after that? I was kind of pleased he gave me a cheap call-down. Can I get away if he shoves turn/river?

Meh, I think it is fine.

I think the big arguement might be that his is only 11bb deep than 3bet shoving pre is better, as he "should" call with just about all of his range.

you need to lead for sure.

what about reraise pre? does he put 3bb in and leave himself with 9 back or is he going to gamble? I know we want to get value for our hand but in a tourney situation the benefits of a shove here , called or not could lead to an exploitable image.

It's the bubble so although I did think about pushing, I thought this could be a raise with ATC, plus this was a solid winning player who I assume would understand ICM etc who might even fold some of his semi-decent hands here....

ok cool so you dont want to let him get away from his 10/2os or whatever . You take the same view on the flop amd that is the reason for the check?

Does he know you? If so your flat stinks to high heaven of a monster hand and therefore you are better shoving.

Agree with that. You are the big chip daddy at the table with 2x your oppo's chips. Why would you ever use that big weapon to flat, oop, on the bubble, for a sizeable % of your oppo's stack? You would jam 7-7 right?

This is a good point. He doesn't know me, but there's every chance he realises I'm competant. A shove pre does make sense in this spot.

And yes Jezza this is why I checked the flop.

I can't see this particular player 3x folding with 11 bigs. Shove pre looks good.
