Hi guys

apols if this has gone into the wrong area (I wasn't sure where to post it)
Luton g next week - £1060 main event for GUKPT.

- Day 1a (Thursday) or 1b (Friday) ?

apart from the obvious break advantage (on Friday) by selecting Thursday, any other thoughts to swing decision?

Thanks v much, Drainy

Day 1 tends to be more pro's and people there for the week whereas Friday is more tourists taking Friday off work. Depends who you want to play against. IMO.

Friday will be the bigger field innit. Whether that's a good or a bad thing I dunno.

Friday's tend to be softer IMHO. More unexpected bullets to dodge though.

Absolutely dsagree with the above.

Thursday's are MUCH softer imo.

The pros want to save on travelling costs/hotels and will book for Friday -> Sunday.

Damn, just as I was reaching a conclusion a conflicting response comes in.

Currently booked on flight b, but last night a couple of regulars suggested that I switch (due to the rest advantage) hence the post.

........Still not decided.    ;-(

any other views or thoughts?

Or do I just flip a coin?  (as if I don't face enuff coin-flips every day!)

Less players on thursday, hence more short-handed play towards the end.

So, if short handed is your bag....

ahhh but more players friday means more chips in play, more chance of getting a big stack.

If you have to fly there, then play on the friday to save on hotel bills.

Thanks very much to all who commented.
Lots of interesting (and inevitably differing!) views.

My current thinking - rightly or wrongly - is to stick with day 1b.

But that could change!

Thanks again.

I didn't think luton was a popular stop on the tourist trail.

I guess there's the historically significant Kennilworth Road where they used to play top flight football way back when.

Then there is the kebab shop in the high street, scene of some great fights down the years.

The world famous Sainsburys car park, spiritual home to crackheads from throughout Western Europe.
