How was the atmosphere when the news filtered through of Samaras' wonder goal in 91st minute? .......
Seething

There was no filtering, your game was long over before ours started
It generally takes about 3 hours for things to filter through to your brains lol

TBH, I dont think many people there could care less about the diddy stages of the champions league. Maybe fluking a win at a more important stage against a better team will make us seethe 3 hours after it happens.
We were too busy pumping a £200 million team and singing GLASGOW RANGERS CHAMPIONS OH OH OH OH OH OH

My Scottish football knowledge is limited, do you guys think the bookies have it right by generally making Celtic slight faves?
Unbiased opinions welcomed...

Based on the current squads I'd say Celtic are slight favourites. However I'd suggest holding off til closer to the end of the transfer window to see how things develop.
The favourable view of Rangers activity so far is they are already qualified for the CL so no rush to bring in new faces, whereas Celtic had to buy early to have a chance of qualifying.
The unfavourable view is they are close to busto and can't afford to buy.
As the deadline comes closer we will get a better idea which of those views is closer to the truth.

Rangers are in deep trouble, no new signings and a couple of squad players have left.....will have to make do with the same old double winning team I guess.........
IMO Rangers should be slight favourites. Settled double winning squad, think we all know what to expect from Rangers and there are signs of improvements from players who didnt get much of a chance last year due to various reasons such as Naismith and Edu.
Not saying Celtic are worse but with a new manager, new style of play and some new signings nobody really knows how well everything is going to turn out for them once the season gets going. Fortune in particular looks awful so far. Thing could turn out like when O'Neil and Strachan took over but there is also the chance it could turn out like the Barnes or Venglos era

Well Ferguson wasnt exactly a squad player, but our midfield and team as a whole looked a lot better when he was injured at the start of the season and not playing when it was Thomson/Davis/Mendes, it wasnt as smooth when he came back and when he was suspended for the boozegate incident our midfield looked superb at times with Edu/Mendes/Davis. I think when he isnt there Davis and Mendes perform a lot better so although he played a major part last season I dont think we will miss him at all.

Barry Ferguson was never a squad player in his day but would have been this season. He would have rarely got a game in he stayed as Thompson is back, Mendes and Edu. Thompson is the new Bazza
Best wishes to Bazza down south
