If your an 80s kid like me, but did'nt really care for wacko jacko at all...the death of John Hughes means much more, his films were such a part of the 80s and early 90s...some proper classics in there:

Everything else was genous

Trains, Planes was the greatest comedy of the 80s

The Breakfast Club was excellent.  I was 10 at the time though.

I watched it again this year.  Utter nonsense, but doesn't it sum up the 80s perfectly for you?

I watched it again this year.  Utter nonsense, but doesn't it sum up the 80s perfectly for you? 

Maybe Breakfast Club didnt age well but in the 80's I loved it I was about 13 , but the nostalgia of these films and the fact they are now abit dated means that although new generations wont get them we always will, but I still love Wierds Science and Kelly LeBrock will always have a special place in my heart, Plains  Trains & Automobiles, Ferris Bueller, Pretty in Pink man takes me straight back to my youth. A sad loss RIP John Hughes

For me Ferris didnt age well either, I bigged it up to a bunch of friends and we watched it in complete silence, they eventually turned it off and I felt embarressed. Weird Science and Planes Trains both stand the test of time
