My habits are stagnating, I'm listening to the same old stuff from 2007 & 2008 over and over again (plus the odd West End musical or Iron Maiden live album obv)

What are the best albums out this year that I should be checking out?

Noughties is kinda frustrating because so many bands only have one good album (or one ok album) and then dissapear of the face of the planet.

Any specific genre, Tank?

I'm constantly listening to the new Dream Theater album, but unless you're into Prog Rock I'd give it a miss.

You might wanna try and find DT's Iron Maiden cover album though, thats always worth a blast.

I've a lot of time for the indie of the nineties. It's the music that was playing when I was coming of age so I'll probably love it for the rest of my life.

I'll give Dream Theatre a try cheers.

Regarding genre, I like a whole wide heap of stuff including Blues music and Classical music. Rock and Indie type recommendations is probably what I'm looking for though.

We've got to wait a few decades before we can talk about the 20s and 30s and it'll make sense again.

I like Kasabians album.
I've not listened to the album but apparently Reverend and the Makers tried to go Happy Mondays and came up short.

Deadmau5- Random album title.  My fave of the year, brilliant dance music. 90's dance Leftfield, Fluke, Orbital, Underworld should have you talcing the floor.

Dream Theatre's "Awake" album (their third) is a classic IMO.

Last years but have you got the Glasvegas album?  Hmmm, actually most of the stuff I'm listening to this year appears to be from last year!  Kings of Leon maybe?  Florence and the Machine.
