Denise is very stupid. Quite watchable though

Johnson is the nuts

Colin Jackson is the anti-nuts, for me.

Welshist.

Its a touchy subject for me, I once got to feel the boobs of me mates sister because she said I had eyes like Colin Jackson, I feel obliged to defend him.

Is it his groin?  He's been nursing an injury during the 100m rounds (didn't stop him being the second fastest 100m ever).

Yep it's the niggling groin injury so after consulting doctors he ruled himself out.

Specualtion is that there are psychological reasons why he won't be at his best and so it dropping out. Fair enough I think, must be pretty gutted having run the third fastest time in history in the 100m and it not being enough.

"Rather than risk further injury, I've decided that I will not compete in tomorrow's (Tuesday) first round of the 200m," Gay said.

"I would like to be a part of Team USA's 4x100m and believe this decision will give me the best chance to be ready for the relay. I want to help our relay as best I can."

Yeah - they want to make sure they secure that silver medal in the 4x100m.

there's a lot of truth under that sarcasm. can you imagine the embarrassment if they took bronze in an event they've always considered as theirs?

Last time they ran it, they didn't get any medals - as they did a 'GB'.

you'd think they'd practice baton changes. maybe they should just do it like at school where you just have to touch hands with the next runner

I think it's because a lot of them actually hate each other.  The 100m is such an individual event, with huge egos and self-belief.  Getting them to put this aside and train together is probably a lot to ask with some of them.

I think there's a lot of 'if I'm not running the anchor leg I'm not really bothered'

to be fair to the Americans, no one can cock up a baton handover like the Brits

We rarely get the thing round all four legs, and look like we never practice
