I think in the build up to the 200m final his father mentioned in an interview that Bolt used to run the 200m and 400m as a youngster.
Yeah he has a pb of 45.xx at 400m , he doesn't like the endurance training for 400 apparantly.

Lol that is pretty sick, love to see him try and get that down. He is going to need challenges in the sport and think this could be a good thing to aim it.

I really want to see Bekele, Bolt and Semenya in an 800m race.

he still wouldn't beat our bolt in a dash from home to the offy when he has run out of stella just before it shuts.

It would be interesting to see the tactics, does Bolt go off like a hare and try survive or hang on and hit them with a sprint finish.

Ive been known to dip ten seconds on said occasions, once someone told me the guy that runs the offy was pissed and couldnt see what change he was giving out or who was taking what, i think i dipped 9:70

Been reading Chambers autobiography he says that jamacia do not have random testing in place. Do youse think Bolt could be using steroids of some sort i would hate to see him getting caught up in a drugs scandal. What an awesome athlete!

She's an interesting one for me, she is very nearly, really really beautiful if that makes sense? There is something about her that makes me want to look at her, but she is slightly odd looking at the same time.

bolt would get torn to shreds by bekele. its all about the types of muscle fibres people have. anything around 10 seconds long uses type IIb (super anaerobic exercise), between that and 40 secs uses type IIa (anaerobic but less powerful and lasts for longer). longer than that uses type I (aerobic). those are the standard times, id imagine that they are slightly longer for top athletes. apparently 800m is ridic as the top guys are able to use some type IIb as well as type I - so the level of exersion is close to sprinting all the way round. long story short, usain bolt is made up of (relatively) loads of type IIb, some type IIa and not much type I. therefore his constant pace over 800m wouldnt compare to someone with relatively more type I fibres, ie bekele.

Oh I could! read about Seb Coe - he was different to many of the other outstanding 800m/1500m runners in that he had a very good 400m time but a pretty poor 5,000m time. I'd post links, but it'd upset bolt...

I know exactly what you mean. Me and Rookie had a very similar conversation during the Olympics.
