Anyone else struggling to realy enjoy the new album? (Humbug).

Am I missing some gems?

Admittedly, I have only had about 3~4 listens thus far.....

Thoughts....?

I quite like it, will agree it does lack an an-themic quality but that not such a bad thing.
I am glad the sound has evolved, would have been more disappointed if they had just knocked out another "simple" album.

As ever the drumming stands out, that boy oooozes talent and is probably enough to get me to listen again.

Watched there performance at leeds/reading from the weekend wasn't very impressed but wasn't really paying attention, mate went tho just spoke to him and he thought they were crap as well and were both big fans they didn't even play mardy bum or certain romance two of there bests songs WTF.I don't think they should be doing pretty much every track off the new album when it's only out that week, as for the album listened to it once takes me a while to like a new album properly but like crying lightning, don't think i'm guna like it anywhere near as much as the 1st two.

I liked their 'simple'ness, it was Raw.

Don't fancy Humbug too much, early doors tho, it still has time to grow on me.

They were full of promise in 2006, but haven't followed through at all.

Live in a smallish venue they may be pretty good, but in a festival setting (leeds 2006 and this year, and Glastonbury 07 ) they are poor.

heard enough of the new album on Friday night at Leeds to know that my Arctic Monkeys file on the ipod can remain stuck at 'Whatever they say...'

Ok, so the new album is [surprisingly] growing on me.

Prob had 10+ listens so far.

> Does that mean if u listen to ANY album enuff times you'll eventually like it?
OMG - I might like Britney Farkin' Spears..........Jeez....!

Anyway, on this album, Fave is track 7.
Others. T3 (must be LOUD).
T1 and T2 r getting better.

T9 has fave lyric..........Wot comes first, the Chicken or the D1ck-head?

Predictable, I left before they kicked off and saw a surprisingly good Glasvegas set in a very surprisingly half-empty NME tent
