£50 live freezeout

20 minute clock

Still 60 remain, 9 paid

Blinds 200-400

Average 12,000

Hero 13,000

Lady Villain 6,000

Codger Villain 8,000

Turbo structured

Lady villain opens from UTG+1 to 1,200. A very conservative player really from limited observation. Easily knocked off hands too though

Codger Villain makes it 2,500 in the Cut off. His range is narrower than a lot here. It's unlikely to be equal to or less than J or 99. He would probably flat with 1010 too

Hero in the Small blind finds

Push, or fold?

Whats your edge?

I assume your 'not happy' to race at this stage?

20 min blinds = no edge imo.  I get them all in here.

With this structure I'm getting them in. Average is 30 bigs with 60 players still left. Don't think we can pass on a 20 min clock. Not liking it against 2 nits but don't see what choice we've got.

Personally I always take the race especially with 10 bigs left if it goes horribly wrong.

Based on what you say about Tikay the old codger though I suppose it could be a pass.

I would need this read to be very accurate before considering laying down here though.

if this was gala in Leeds i'd fold - seriously - and i don't do that lightly.

read dependant on old codger but min reraises in these types of games usually mean 1 of 3 hands.

of course if old codger is playing a bit looser then i ship it in.

I'm weak i know

I hate the size of the reraise. Live donkeys often make it so small with AA or KK cos they think its like the most ubersmart move ever. Read dependant on old nit you can fold. Against his and woman's range what with a raise and reraise I wouldn't slate you for it but I'm personally not folding it with 30 bigs in this comp when there's still 60 left.

My read is he has JJ+, AK as implied in OP.

Go with the read, or go with the turbo structure? Hope to be racing, accepting you'll have to race a lot to win this comp with this structure and this many left..and accept a chance you'll be dominated?

Or fold, and expect to have a chance to get it in good (better than racing) within 2-3 levels?

there is the implied satisfaction of when you bust the nit's KK to consider too.

Can their ranges really be this tight? Maybe the codger has noticed like you did, that the lady can be pushed off hands easily, surely this widens his range a bit? She makes bad folds lots of the time and he probably does too, obviously three way action is a bit of an equity disaster for ak but they fold a lot here and you're not always in bad shape if they call.

Fold..nit raises from EP and another nit re-raises....how often do you think your AK is good here?..

They can be, and often are in these cheap live games.

Folding is fine.

I think both options are fine here. Struggling to pick which one is best. The fact a shove might fold out the initial raiser makes me lean towards that. But it's almost always AK vs AK vs QQ when I do that Smiley

It pains me to fold here, but I think it is the right thing to do. Old live nits, rarely 3bet small without the immortal nuts.
